nearby relay

Nearby bitFind devices can carry encrypted relay packets without reading them.

The family can see the latest available status when a phone loses connection.

ble chain relay

A nearby bitFind phone can carry an encrypted packet to the next device. The chain continues until one device has internet.

permissions

precise location: used when sharing safety location or sending help
approximate location: fallback when precise location is not available
background location: keeps sharing active when the app is closed
foreground service: shows Android that location sharing is active
notifications: shows tracking and safety status alerts
bluetooth scan: finds nearby bitFind relay devices
bluetooth advertise: lets nearby devices know a relay packet exists
bluetooth connect: transfers encrypted relay data between devices
sms: optional fallback when enabled and allowed by the user/device
internet and network state: updates status and retries when connection returns
start after reboot: restores sharing only when it was already enabled
